What's in our food? Why don't you have all the fancy vitamins in the ingredients?
To make pet food nutritious, pet food manufacturers must "fortify" it with vitamins and minerals. Why? Because the ingredients they are using are not wholesome, their quality may be extremely variable, and the harsh manufacturing practices destroy many of the nutrients the food had to begin with. Our vitamins come from the optimal and most easily absorbed source: well-designed food.
We have created our recipes to contain the necessary trace minerals such as Copper, Calcium, a healthy Calcium to Phosporus ratio, Manganese, Zinc, Sodium, Iodine, Vitamins A, D, E, Selenium, and more. Some Vitamins (such as Vitamin C) are very fragile, and do not stay viable for long once exposed to air and moisture. Because our food is made every week, we do not need to worry about supplementing with vitamins in order to make up for food source degradation. This is why we can provide the best form of nutrition without making our food a multivitamin.
2 recipes, rotated monthly for nutritional variety:
Chicken (June, September, December, March) Beef (July, October, January, April)
What's in Canine Catering's food?
It varies each month but it's always at least 50% meat protein. No fillers. All recipes are formulated to meet or exceed AAFCO guidelines.
Because we buy locally and organically whenever possible, while keeping our food affordable.
Anyone can make their dog's food, with some research and time. Here are links so you can learn about it:
